Can You Predict the Future?

In the Old Testament, God challenged false gods to prove themselves by predicting the future. Now, this is a test for other religions and their writings: did what they say come true?

Well, the Bible has hundreds of prophecies that have come true. For example, the prophet Isaiah predicted that Cyrus would let the Israelites go home before Cyrus was even born! Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled dozens of specific prophecies, including being born of a virgin. Or having lots cast for His clothing.

Other religious writings don’t make specific predictions that have come true. Only the Bible does, because it was written by the one who knows the end from the beginning.
