So what does the creation/evolution debate have in common with the climate change controversy? Well, the ideas about both are determined by what we call our “starting point”!

If we begin with the idea that Earth is millions of years old and the temperature’s been steady, then climate change is alarming, and it is probably man’s fault.

But if we start with God’s Word, we get a very different picture of Earth’s past. The Earth was created recently with a “very good” climate. But about 4,300 years ago, there was a catastrophic global Flood that totally changed the climate. The Earth is still settling down in the Flood’s aftermath!

Climate change has been a reality since the global Flood.
