Today is Good Friday, a day many Christians remember Jesus’ sacrificial death. Now, while we reflect on Christ’s death for us, we should be reminded of Genesis.
The Apostle Paul tells us the first Adam brought death into the world. The penalty for sin is death, and Adam chose to sin. We physically die because of our sin in Adam . . . and our continued sin.
Now, Paul also tells us the Last Adam, Jesus, brought life. You see, Jesus had to physically die to take our penalty of death upon Himself.
Some Christians say Adam was just a myth. But if Adam didn’t really live, sin, and bring death into the world, why did Jesus have to come and die?
