Transcript

The New Testament is full of warnings to the church to beware of false teachers and their deceptive teachings. Now these people will twist Scripture to make it say whatever they want it to say. Listening to these kinds of people is dangerous because it leads us away from God.

So how can we recognize false teaching?

Well, just because a particular teaching is popular doesn’t make it right. False teaching is usually more popular than the hard truth!

The only way to combat false teaching is by knowing the truth! We need to study the Word of God so that we can recognize false teaching when we hear it.

Our ultimate authority must be God’s Word. We need to test what we hear by what the Bible teaches.
