Most people think it takes millions of years to form fossils. But fossils can actually form quickly. Did you know they have found a petrified hat, and a clock, and spark plugs in rocks? Those obviously didn’t take millions of years to form!

Actually, fossils must form quickly. If a plant or animal dies, it will quickly decay . . . unless it is buried deep enough to keep scavengers and microbes from destroying it.

Around the world are billions and billions of fossils. What could rapidly bury so many creatures? Well, it didn’t happen slowly over millions of years. A worldwide Flood, as described in Genesis, would have quickly buried these creatures.
