It seems Christians often fall into two camps when it comes to the LGBT community. Some Christians, trying to be accepting and loving, embrace and support such behavior with open arms. Others, knowing Scripture condemns homosexual behavior and affirms our male- and female-ness, are harsh and judgmental toward those who practice such behaviors. But what should the Christian response be?
Well the Apostle Paul gives us the answer. We are to “speak the truth in love.” Yet, we can’t ignore truth for the sake of love—we need to call sin what it is. But we also need to do so in a loving way that points people to Christ.
Our purpose should always be spreading the truth, the good news of the gospel, and His forgiveness.
