Yesterday we learned that God’s original creation was perfect, free from any death or suffering. But obviously something radically changed that!

That brings us to our second “C” of history—Corruption. God told the first couple, Adam and Eve, they could eat from any tree—except for one. But Eve was deceived by the serpent and disobeyed God. Her husband Adam quickly followed her into sin.

God had told them the penalty for their sin was death. Death, suffering, pain, and disease were now part of creation. We experience these horrible things today because of their sin and ours.

We can’t blame God for the problems our sin has caused! It is our fault.
