When we are witnessing to others it is easy to get so caught up in a discussion that you miss the main point. You see, the point should never be to win an argument. Now, having answers and sharing these answers with skeptics is important. We are told in Scripture to have answers. But we need to stay focused on what matters most—the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now, don’t concentrate so much on the age of the earth, evolution, or morality that you forget to point people toward Christ. Our goal should always be to tell others that Christ died for their sins, and that they can find forgiveness and hope for eternity in Him.

Be equipped to give answers—but always be ready to proclaim Christ as Lord.
