When kids learn about the Bible, they are often just taught isolated Scripture verses and some Bible “stories.” They usually aren’t taught how God’s Word explains the world around them.
Parents, as you teach your kids about the Bible, start with Genesis. Show them how Genesis chapters 1–11 lay the foundation for the rest of Scripture. Starting with Genesis, you can show your kids God’s gospel plan from the very beginning. Then show them how this plan is carried right through Scripture.
Understanding the flow of the Bible . . . and biblical history . . . helps kids make sense of what they are reading in the Bible. They learn to think biblically . . . and to start their thinking with God’s Word.
