“Gay Penguin” Dies in Australian Zoo

According to one report:

Sphen rose to global fame in 2018 when he partnered with fellow male gentoo penguin Magic, after the two were spotted waddling around and swimming together before breeding season.

The same-sex penguin power couple known as “Sphengic” inspired millions with their unshakeable bond and heartwarming family. . . .

The pair inspired a Mardi Gras float, featured in the Netflix series “Atypical” and have been included in the education curriculum in New South Wales, their Australian home state. Countless books and movies also touch on their love story, the aquarium said.

In 2018, Sphen and Magic became parents after they were entrusted to hatch a “backup” egg given to them by another penguin couple, who had laid two eggs.

Yes, these penguins have been used to teach children that same-sex attraction is “natural” and therefore it must be moral. But animals are not moral creatures! And to impose human characteristics on animals is a fallacy called anthropomorphism.

Now, unlike penguins and other animals, humans are moral beings as we are made in the image of God. And God has written his laws on our hearts (Romans 2), which is why we have a conscience that knows the difference between right and wrong. Furthermore, God created marriage, so God defines marriage, and true marriage is one man for one woman as we learn in Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:24.

But here is where secularists are so inconsistent. They used these two male penguins to push gay “marriage” (it’s not marriage; it’s a perversion of marriage) and LGBTQ identities. Well, if you use animal behavior to justify a certain behavior in humans, then what about the fact that many animals have other behaviors such as eating their own young or eating their mates?

For instance, the following animals have been known to eat their young: hamsters, tiger sharks, polar bears, chickens, lions, chimpanzees, mantids, rabbits, spiders, cats, various fish, rats, frogs, tiger salamanders, hippopotamuses, and more. And, according to evolutionists, man is much more closely related to a chimp than a penguin, so shouldn’t humans then eat their young if they want? (Well, many murder them in the womb anyway by abortion.)

There’s also a list of creatures that eat their mates! And, of course, animals practice many other behaviors that would be immoral if practiced by humans.

Using supposed “gay penguins” to promote/justify gay “marriage” and same-sex unions is absurd, foolish, and, of course, totally anti-God, anti-Christian, and anti-biblical. When man rebels against God, we read:

Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! (Romans 1:22–25)
