The Worldview Permeating Secular Schools

The LGBTQ worldview is permeating our secular schools (and, sadly, even some “Christian” schools). Secular schools (e.g., public schools in the USA) are not neutral. The Bible says you’re either for Christ or against. And when you build your thinking on man’s word instead of God’s Word, then ultimately anything goes. And we’re seeing that happen now throughout the secular anti-God education system.

When you build your thinking on man’s word instead of God’s Word, then ultimately anything goes.

Recently, I posted a video about a young boy who went to a secular (public) school and was forced to read a book about changing genders to his kindergarten buddy. He was intimidated at first, which is what happens in the secular education system. But his parents helped him to be able to stand for what is right. Eventually, he was honored by the president of the United States for his stand.

We need to raise up generations who know how to stand boldly and defend the Christian faith.

And by the way, we need to raise up generations who know how to stand boldly and defend the Christian faith, even when it’s hard. After this boy stood up for the right, kids started to bully him. He said, “After my family spoke up, the school treated us badly and kids started bullying me and my brother because of our faith, and the school did nothing to stop it.” Yet it’s Christians who are accused of being intolerant. But this situation is not surprising, and God’s Word tells us those who stand for the Lord will be persecuted in this world.

Our “disagreement” with the LGBTQ worldview and agenda is not about our own opinions. No, we don’t go along with them because God, the Creator, defines everything. In Genesis 1:27, God said that he made mankind male and female. That’s why we believe there are only two genders. And by the way, observational science shows that males have an X and a Y chromosome, and females have an X and an X. And you can’t change your genetics. So really, scientifically, you can’t change your gender.

There’s another book being used in K–3 called You Are Loved. This book talks about families with two women or two men, etc. But God created the family in Genesis and therefore defines it. He created a man and a woman who were then told to be fruitful and multiply. When people abandon God’s Word, they want to redefine everything that God created. So now the culture redefines marriage, gender, and the family.

These sorts of things beg the question: Should Christians send their children into this anti-Christian system? Some say we should so our kids can be salt and light to those in the darkness.

Matthew 5:13 says, “You are the salt of the earth.” But the Bible also says in Mark 9:50, “Have salt in yourselves.” Children can’t be salt until they have salt! The majority of children from church homes (80–85%) have gone through the secular anti-God education system, and the majority have left the church. The point is that the majority do not survive this system from a Christian worldview perspective.

I believe, based on God’s Word, that we need to be raising up generations to the best of our ability by filling them with the salt of biblical truth, teaching them doctrine so they know what they believe and why, and also equipping them with answers to the attacks on God’s Word. Then they can really be the salt of the earth and go out there to witness for the Lord Jesus Christ in this very fallen world.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
