Shocking New Study Reveals Men’s and Women’s Brains Are Different

I have a shocking revelation for you today—according to a new study, men and women are different from one another! Yes, it’s a very shocking conclusion to a study on how the brains of men and women operate. Okay, I say that very tongue-in-cheek—anyone who has lived any length of time in the world and has observed men and women should have been expecting such a conclusion! The study is stating the obvious.

This new study used AI to “pick out subtle differences between the two sexes that had been missed by humans.” The neural network looked at 1,500 brain scans and was able to tell if the brain scan was from a man or a woman with 90% accuracy by looking at activity in “hotspot” areas. A popular science summary of this study concluded this “breakthrough” shows “sex does matter in how people think and behave.” That’s not surprising—we intuitively know men and women are different! The article even points out a few of these cognitive differences.

It is well known that male and female chromosomes release sex-specific hormones in the brain, particularly in early development, puberty and during ageing.

There are also marked differences in how women and men perform in the real world.

Women tend to be better at reading comprehension and writing ability on average, and have good long term memory.

Conversely, men seem to have stronger visual and spatial awareness and better working memory.

Men and women are different, and that’s by design! When God created humanity, he began with just two people—one man and one woman.

Yes, men and women are different, and that’s by design! When God created humanity, he began with just two people—one man and one woman. And he didn’t make them the same! They were distinct from one another, created differently so they could uniquely fulfill the roles that God designed for them. The differences that we as men and women notice, joke about, or even get annoyed by are part of God’s design for the human race, as together, men and women are to obey his command to have godly dominion over the earth and be fruitful and multiply, filling the earth.

Of course, our culture today likes to pretend we can’t know what a man or a woman is and that men can be women, and women men, just by believing it to be so, but both God’s Word and observational science confirm that there are only two genders/sexes in humans—male and female. And these sexes were created by God on purpose with a purpose to glorify him.

So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
    male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
