Give to the Lord Now and to Your Children in the Future

It takes many people working behind the scenes for Answers in Genesis to accomplish its mission. Designers, writers, artists, grounds crew, zookeepers, board members, housekeeping staff, speakers, video technicians—the list goes on and on. But fulfilling one especially essential behind-the-scenes role are our donors. Their generosity and willingness to support the ministry give us the ability to continue doing what we do around the world. We are so thankful for them!

One way that you can support our mission is through a one-time gift of any amount. We appreciate each and every gift! But another way our supporters in the United States can partner with us is through planned giving. Usually planned giving both benefits our ministry and gives Americans substantial tax savings! One creative form of planned giving is the charitable lead annuity trust—the “wait a while” trust.

This trust essentially allows you to help us now while providing for your children in the future. Here’s how it works: a certain sum of money or assets such as stocks and bonds are put into the trust. You receive a gift or estate tax deduction at the time of the gift. The trust then pays a certain percent to Answers in Genesis for a fixed number of years. When the term of years is finished, the assets left in the trust, including any additional growth in value, become an inheritance for the children at a significantly reduced or zero transfer tax.
