Wow, today America celebrates her semiquincentennial, or her 250th anniversary. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of what makes America great and her wonderful heritage of freedom and liberty. On this special anniversary, I thought I’d share with you my thoughts on America as someone who wasn’t born here.

In 1987, my wife, Mally, and I, along with our four children (our fifth was born in California), immigrated to the US from Australia and eventually became US citizens (it was a very interesting journey to do this). So what are my thoughts on America? Well, here you go (and you can’t disagree with me until you’ve tried an Australian meat pie with mushy peas for yourself!):

Yes, we are very thankful for America and all that the Lord has done in and through this nation. I pray that the Lord preserves the freedoms and Christian heritage of this nation for many generations to come.

God bless America!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
