Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! (Psalm 95:1–2)
People love music. God certainly created us to enjoy music and to be able to praise him in song. At church, we sing praises to God. People love to go to concerts. Even in creation, we hear beautiful music from the birds God created.
So at our two attractions, we use music in various ways for our guests. A few years ago, Ray Flynn from Abraham Productions approached us about running the biggest Christian music festival in the world by inviting top music groups for a 40-day festival. But there was a stipulation: This had to be used for an evangelistic purpose so we could see people saved for eternity.
Our whole purpose for the ministry and attractions is to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and challenge people with the saving gospel.
Well, that totally fits with who we are at AiG—our whole purpose for the ministry and attractions is to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and challenge people with the saving gospel.
Ray Flynn is the founder and CEO of Abraham Productions, Inc. and cofounder of Sea Walker Media, which is the parent organization of the Singing News brand, magazine, radio, and other Christian media. The Gospel Greats, which is also a part of Sea Walker Media, is the largest syndicated southern gospel music program in America and carried on over a hundred radio stations and on SiriusXM. Abraham Productions, Inc. produces Christian concerts in many venues.
All of their concert events are Christ-centered and evangelistically focused.
Ray Flynn states,
We made a commitment to the Lord at the very beginning of this ministry that we would never do a concert event without giving a clear presentation of the gospel during every concert and giving people the opportunity to trust Jesus as Savior. During these 33 years of ministry, we have seen tens of thousands of people make public professions of faith. One of the greatest honors of my life has been working with Answers in Genesis and producing the concert series 40 Days of Christian Music at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Those concerts have been some of the most special in our ministry. We have featured Ken Ham and various other speakers who have shared the gospel during the 40 Days of Christian Music, and in just the last four years, we have witnessed more than 6,000 people who have put their trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This will be our fifth year of what we call 40/40. Concerts featuring many leading groups/artists in various music genres (e.g., Big Daddy Weave, Crowder, Matthew West, Triumphant Quartet, Karen Peck & New River, and many more) will occur from July 29 through September 6, 2025, daily at the Ark and on select days at the Creation Museum. Visit 40DaysOfChristianMusic.com for the schedule and artists.
Last year, we saw 2,476 respond to trust Christ for salvation. In 2023, 2,047 responded. Praise God!
Our main event program goes like this at the Ark (times can vary a bit):
| 4:00 p.m. | Concert opens with a group, usually TrueSong—the resident artists of the Ark and Creation Museum |
| 4:30 p.m. | First guest artist(s) |
| 5:00 p.m. | 30 minutes of Bible teaching time, including a clear explanation of the gospel |
| 5:30 p.m. | A challenge to respond to the gospel |
| 5:45 p.m. | Second guest artist(s) |
| 6:30 p.m. | Program concludes |
We also do similar concert programs on select afternoons at the Creation Museum.
We are using the musical gifts God has entrusted to various individuals so we can enable people to praise the Lord in song, have the gospel clearly preached, and see many people trust Christ for salvation.
This is what I call music evangelism. We are using the musical gifts God has entrusted to various individuals so we can enable people to praise the Lord in song, have the gospel clearly preached, and see many people trust Christ for salvation.
Come and experience for yourself the music evangelism at the Ark and Creation Museum this year. Because concerts are included free with admission to the attractions, we recommend purchasing the Annual Bouncer Pass so you can attend all or as many of these concerts as you choose.
Answers in Genesis is an apologetics ministry, dedicated to helping Christians defend their faith and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
