If there is only one thing that will be remembered about Kay Arthur, the founder of Precept and a gifted Bible teacher who inspired countless people to read and study God’s Word inductively, it’s this: She loved the Word of God. And because of her love for God’s Word, she loved what we do here at Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter.
She leaves behind a life well lived for the Lord and a legacy of teaching others to love, study, and apply God’s Word to their lives. What a godly legacy!
Our friend Kay went home to be with the Lord earlier this week on May 20, 2025, at the age of 91. She leaves behind a life well lived for the Lord and a legacy of teaching others to love, study, and apply God’s Word to their lives. What a godly legacy!
Kay visited our attractions several years ago (and she once told me that she remembered when my wife, Mally, made her breakfast the first time she visited, which made her feel very special). She really did love the ministry of AiG and our attractions because we emphasize that God’s Word is true and authoritative from the very first verse—something she believed and taught as well.
Please enjoy this interview I did with Kay at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention back in 2015—you’ll see her obvious love for the Lord and knowledge of his Word:
Please pray for her family and the ministry she leaves behind as they grieve her loss but rejoice with hope, knowing she is with her Lord and Savior.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. (Psalm 116:15)
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
