We’ve won another award!

The Christian Worldview Film Festival (CWVFF) recently took place in Albany, Georgia, and one of the episodes of our original show Hike & Seek won Best Short Documentary.

Hike & Seek, hosted by conservationist and wildlife filmmaker Peter Schriemer, is one of the most popular programs on Answers TV, our streaming platform. Families love the high-quality nature cinematography and Peter’s commentary that gives glory to God for what he’s made and teaches a biblical worldview.

Here’s what Peter said during his acceptance speech at the CWVFF:

Romans 1:20 reminds us that nature acts as a witness to the existence of God. So it’s a privilege to hike and explore it and share it through the medium of film—especially when we can point people to the Creator.

So which episode won? Well, the winner is episode 3 of season 3, where Peter explores the Smoky Mountains, hikes to the summit of Richland Balsam Mountain, and discovers streams and waterfalls along the way. Viewers learn how God used water at the beginning of creation and how he still uses water to shape the natural world and bless his creation today. The episode also explains how people have industriously harnessed the power of water at the historic Mingus Mill and with the iron horse steam locomotive. Along the way, Peter introduces viewers to the unique creatures that reside in these magnificent mountain habitats.

In addition to the Best Short Documentary win, Hike & Seek also earned the runner-up accolade for music composition for its original score by composer Roland Bingaman.
