Testimony: “You Brought Many Great Things to Our Family’s Walk”

He wrote the letter to Peter Schriemer, a wildlife filmmaker who now hosts the God-glorifying creation adventure shows, Hike & Seek and Hike & Seek: Short Treks (a brand-new show), on Answers TV. This letter was such an encouragement to our Answers TV team, and I thought I’d share it with you so you can see just one testimony of how the Lord is using this ministry to make an impact.

I wanted to share with you and the Hike & Seek team (Answers TV) a part of our path as a family. About 7 years ago, we struggled deeply, knowing that our daughter was in a private school with Christian values but they were completely ignored and worst teachings were far off the ways of God; we talked to teachers, principal, even the school’s owner, until we decided to begin searching for alternatives. We recently had welcomed a new baby that would lead us to similar decisions in the near future. It was very overwhelming.

We looked everywhere, went to other schools and finally thought we had no options. This led us to homeschooling, but this is hard, since in our country is something that is almost unheard of and it’s legally in a limbo. This brought us to a crossroad when the pandemic hit and we started homeschooling with absolutely no idea what we were doing and we had a lot of pressure, especially our family questioning our choices.

For some reason I still can’t understand, other than answer to prayer, we ended up vacationing in Kentucky a couple of years later, and that landed us at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. On our way out we bought the Hike & Seek DVDs, which we’ve never seen or heard of, and when we got home our kids played in the car, loved it immediately, and watched it over and over again, so we as parents heard a lot about Peter but never actually saw him much. Because of this, we decided to subscribe to Answers.tv; our family immediately got to know you (Peter) through Hike & Seek, and this completely changed our homeschooling adventure and our lives. We as parents embraced it and we not only learned, but prayed and learned about God’s creation together, and by that, I mean our family and yours (Hike & Seek).

God showed us the way through you and your ministry. (Genesis 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you.”)

This all changed again last year. When we went back to the Ark and Creation Museum we had the privilege to meet Peter and some of the staff that makes Hike & Seek possible. You were so kind to us and showed our family God’s love by opening your hearts to strangers from far, this being the greatest lesson of all. It humbled us and showed us the Lord’s love. We thank God that our kids can learn, but most of all that they can find role models in the world that can be a beacon of light. (3 John 1:5–6 [NIV], “Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love.”)

From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you who help make the show and Answers TV content possible and pray God to bless your families by name and your ministry. I encourage you to keep going forward. I can testify that you are bringing new generations the message of hope and love from the Lord.

You have blessed my family, many thousands of miles away from a country and a language completely different from yours, and showed us we are all one family in the eyes of our Creator.
