SpaceX to Launch Tonight to Bring ISS Astronauts Home

Back in June, Boeing’s Starliner launched for the International Space Station, carrying two astronauts on board—one of whom is a big friend and enthusiastic supporter of the AiG ministry, Captain Barry Wilmore.

As many of you know, issues with the Starliner prevented the astronauts’ scheduled return, and they’ve remained aboard the ISS for months. Well, tonight Elon Musk’s company SpaceX is scheduled to use the Falcon 9 rocket to launch a replacement crew, allowing them to come home.

We’re excited for Captain Wilmore to be back on earth with his family and also able to join us for ministry once again—including for a special event on July 12, 2025, at the Ark Encounter called Astronaut Encounter. You won’t want to miss this.

This event will feature Captain Wilmore and two other astronauts, Colonel Jeff Williams and General Charlie Duke (who has walked on the moon). You’ll hear from them, have an opportunity to ask questions, enjoy dinner (an upgrade option), and (weather permitting) do some sun spotting with our astronomer, Dr. Danny Faulkner. Registration for this unique event is opening soon, so save the date and be sure to keep an eye on the event page so you don’t miss out.

Please pray for Captain Wilmore and the other astronaut, Captain Suni Williams, as they, Lord willing, prepare to return home as soon as Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
