What Christians Must Know About the Trump Shooting

Christians must have a biblical worldview that they apply to everything—including current events that grip national attention, such as the recent assassination attempt on former President Trump. When these kinds of events occur, we must properly apply biblical principles so we can be as the sons of Issachar, “men who had understanding of the times, to know what [we] ought to do” (1 Chronicles 12:32).

Shortly after the shooting, I posted the following to my social media accounts.

What’s the real problem in America?

Sadly, most politicians and the mainstream media don’t deal with the real nature of the real problem in America, which is the spiritual state of this nation and the majority of its people—the ultimate problem.

Sadly, most politicians and the mainstream media don’t deal with the real nature of the real problem in America, which is the spiritual state of this nation and the majority of its people—the ultimate problem. So many in this nation (including most political leaders) have greatly sinned against God with rampant abortion (sacrifice of children) and the destruction of the family unit God created. There is a war on the family and it’s an all-out war on God! Many politicians, media personnel, and judiciary are in reality shaking their fists at God. This nation is suffering the consequences of outright spiritual depravity as outlined in Romans chapter 1.

God’s Word states, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).

Our political leaders, media, and the judiciary need to be reminded of these prayers in Scripture:

“We acknowledge our wickedness, O Lord, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you” (Jeremiah 14:20).

“I now pray before you day and night . . . confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father’s house have sinned. We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that you commanded . . .” (Nehemiah 1:6–7).

“And they cried out to the Lord and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord . . .’” (1 Samuel 12:10).

“Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight” (Psalm 51:4).

As America prays to God in regard to the shocking state of this nation with its rampant immorality and violence, let me remind everyone there needs to be much repentance for the outright rebellion against God and his Word that permeates this nation.

Our social media team also released the video below, which was recorded yesterday during one of my presentations at the Creation Museum. I encourage you to watch and share with others:

Yes, we need to pray for this nation!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
