Abundant life is all around us here in northern Kentucky. New plants are springing up, flowers are beginning to bloom, and crowds of people are visiting both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. This time of year is exciting, and all this life and energy is an encouraging reminder of our purpose to help Christians defend their faith and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
I am so excited about the upcoming conference, Deaf Days: Light of Life, which will take place April 19–20. This is our annual outreach to the Deaf community, where they can experience both of our attractions in a way uniquely customized to them. This conference will be special, and I can’t wait to hear how God will use it to further his kingdom. The Deaf community is one of the most unreached people groups with the gospel in the world.
We have a special pre-screening event of Jesus, a film produced by Deaf Missions and completely done in ASL (with subtitles for those who don’t know ASL).
This year, we have a truly unique and exciting addition to the lineup. We have a special pre-screening event of Jesus, a film produced by Deaf Missions and completely done in ASL (with subtitles for those who don’t know ASL). Afterward, attendees can attend a live Q&A session with the producers and other key production staff and hear about their vision for the film.
Even more exciting than this prescreening event is what will follow—attendees will learn how to use this film to reach the Deaf community and as a tool for discipleship. Praise God for the talented group at Deaf Missions and their commitment to reaching these people for Christ. We are grateful to partner with this organization to encourage and equip our dear friends in the Deaf community and provide them with helpful tools and resources.
This two-day event is a great way for this community to experience the Ark Encounter (April 19) and the Creation Museum (April 20) in a way that meets their unique needs and helps them connect with one another. If you are part of the Deaf community, I encourage you to register now and make plans to attend. Or, if you know someone who is Deaf, be sure to tell them about this event.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
