Thankful for Our Staff This Thanksgiving

We recently hosted our annual Answers in Genesis staff Christmas party at the Ark Encounter. We invite all staff, their spouses, and their children to this event. We have this party early as staff are very busy from after Thanksgiving through the end of the year with our ChristmasTime and ChristmasTown programs at the Ark and Creation Museum.

It was such a blessing to look out on a sea of faces of all ages—really, it’s just so thrilling to see so many who are part of our Answers in Genesis family. And it was exciting to see so many children having a fun time (so many in the world are killing their children by abortion, but our families are raising up godly offspring to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ).

As part of our party, the local Merit Theatre Company put on an abridged version of the musical, The Sound of Music. It was fantastic, and the families loved it.

And I have to say a special congratulations to our culinary team who fed nearly 2,000 people in just 20 minutes with appetizers, a hot meal, and desserts! And thank you to all the other teams who worked hard to pull off this event for our staff and their families.

We are so grateful to the Lord for each and every person he’s brought here.

Now, why do I highlight a staff Christmas party on Thanksgiving? Well, this party is one way we say, “Thank you!” to our staff for all the hard work and dedication they bring to the ministry. We are so grateful to the Lord for each and every person he’s brought here. We couldn’t do what we do without each staff member faithfully serving the Lord in the roles he’s placed them in.

So this Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for our wonderful staff and their families.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving, praising the Lord for all his many blessings but, most of all, for the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Oh, and by the way, there are always jobs available at Answers in Genesis, the Ark Encounter, and the Creation Museum. Maybe God will call some of you to be a part of our family.
