Celebrating 30 Years of Answers in Genesis Ministry

Now, I say the ministry is 30 years old, but actually the ministry started in our home in Australia in 1977! However, the official start of Answers in Genesis as a legal entity was in December 1993.

It was so great that our children, their spouses, and our grandkids could see the history of the ministry they have been a part of, too, and share in the legacy of their great-grandparents who taught us to stand boldly on the authority of the Word of God and proclaim the gospel message. I even got to show everyone how I used to speak 30 years ago—with a slide projector and a massive bag of transparencies! Then Martyn Iles, our new Executive CEO (don’t worry—I am not retiring; I am still Founder CEO), gave a message on how, in 2023, there are even more answers in Genesis than we imagined back in the 1970s!

And, as my sweetheart Mally has a special birthday coming up on December 7 (she turns 70!—don’t let her know I told you), we decided that we would also celebrate her birthday during this time. It was great to have family and friends there for this.

Thank you to one of our dear friends, Cassidy, who is a pastry chef in Michigan, for making a special birthday cake using Mally’s grandmother’s recipe.

As I think back on 30 years of Answers in Genesis ministry and nearly 50 years of creation ministry, all I can say is, “Thank you, Lord, for what you have done!”
