How about:

  • 40 Days of Christian Music
  • 40 Days of Top Christian Artists
  • 40 Days of Worshipping God in Music
  • 40 Days of Concerts
  • 40 Days of Singing Praises to God
  • 40 Days of Extraordinary Musical Talent
40/40 concert

Yes, all the above is true. But that’s not the most exciting part. The biggest Christian music festival in the world took place at the Ark Encounter and on select days at the Creation Museum on August 1–September 9. It was our third festival of its kind. We call it 40/40.

40 days of Bible teaching.

Yes, that happens at each concert, but it’s still not the most exciting part—even though teaching the Word of God is so vital.

Now, to me, this is the most exciting part:

Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents. (Luke 15:10)

40 days of people trusting in Christ as Savior.

40 days of angels rejoicing in heaven.

Yes, that’s the most exciting part!

40/40 TrueSong concert

When Ray Flynn, CEO and president of Abraham Productions, approached Answers in Genesis with the vision for 40 days and nights (remember Genesis 7:4) of concerts at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, making this the biggest Christian music festival in the world, he emphasized this would be a major evangelistic outreach.

As well as top Christian artists (over 150 this year), each concert program would have 30 minutes of Bible teaching with a gospel challenge between the first and second part of each evening’s program.

After the Bible teaching and gospel challenge—before the final concert for the evening—people are challenged to commit their lives to Christ, and those who respond are given a Bible and other literature. Last year, 930 people made what we believe were sincere commitments to Christ.

This year, we had over 1,050 commit their lives to the Lord at 40/40 in the first 20 days. By the completion of the 40 days, there were 2,047. Praise the Lord!

I said to Ray, “There’s so much rejoicing going on in heaven; the angels will be getting hoarse.”

Anyone who has been to the Ark Encounter or the Creation Museum (or heard us speak or obtained books of ours) knows that our heart is to point people to the truth of God’s Word and the saving gospel of Jesus. Yes, we are a unique organization in that we teach people to think foundationally from God’s Word. That equips them with a truly biblical worldview, and it equips them with apologetics to answer the skeptical questions of our day that cause people to doubt the Bible.

In the end, there is nothing more important than a person knowing Christ as Savior.

However, in all of this, we do our best to point people to the Savior. In the end, there is nothing more important than a person knowing Christ as Savior. We at Answers in Genesis stand with what the Apostle Paul stated:

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:7–8)

Don’t miss 40/40 next year!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
