As I look back on how the AiG ministry began—in our home in Australia in 1977—to what it is now, I am just so amazed by what the Lord has done. And he continues to bring expanded areas of ministry through our attractions, including in ways that may not immediately be obvious, such as with our public safety team and their canines.
At the Ark Encounter, we often offer K9 Encounters where guests can learn about and see our working canines in action (these programs are very popular!)—and hear the message of the gospel. It’s wonderful to see the Lord using our public safety team, not just to ensure safety at the attractions but to minister to guests.
And I’m excited to announce that next year, January 6–9, 2024, we’re hosting our second Canine Conference at the Ark Encounter for canine handlers in law enforcement and in private businesses. Master trainers from across the US will be helping handlers expand their training, handling, and performance with presentations on K9 first aid, imprinting on various odors (explosives and narcotics), scenario-based odor-detection training, individual and team challenges, patrol scenarios, and more.
What an exciting opportunity for canine handlers across the US! Not only will they receive expert training, but they will have an opportunity to tour the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum and hear the message of biblical authority, the truth of God’s Word, and the gospel.
Please pray for this upcoming event, and if you know any canine handlers, please let them know about this wonderful opportunity (space is limited, so be sure they know to register early!).
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
