I recently posted the photo you see below to my Facebook page and my Twitter account with the caption, “Question. What are our grounds crews beginning to do at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum?” Now, take a look at the picture. What do you think has just started at the attractions?
Here are two of the most humorous responses from Facebook:
And then a few others who got the answer correct:
Yes, our grounds crews have already begun stringing Christmas lights at both attractions. Because there are so many lights, they always begin in August each year. By the time our Christmas programs begin November 24, hundreds of thousands of lights will be twinkling around trees, topiaries (like the hippo above), buildings, and so much more at both the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We’re thankful for our dedicated crews that begin working early in the morning, long before guests arrive, for months before our Christmas programs begin.
So, the photo above shows you how the Christmas season begins for our staff—well, here’s how it ends!
Yes, ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum and ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter really are beautiful, and many families return every year as a Christmas tradition. They love the sea of lights, Christmas music and programming, live indoor nativity, festive food and drinks, and so much more. Oh, and these world-class events are free (you just pay a discounted price for parking)! I encourage you to make plans to bring the family this Christmas season.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
