It’s hard to believe that this year is the 10-year anniversary of our annual outreach, Día Latino! This outreach just keeps growing as Spanish-speaking Americans and those from other countries come to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum to learn from God’s Word in their own language. And this year, in honor of our ten-year anniversary, we’re hosting a special preconference on the Sanctity of Life.
Día Latino features Spanish signage and captions, along with Spanish interpreters, so Spanish speakers can hear the truth from God’s Word and the gospel in their first language.
Día Latino is October 15, 2022, at the Ark Encounter and October 16 at the Creation Museum. This event features Spanish signage, captions, and Spanish interpreters, so Spanish speakers can hear the truth from God’s Word and the gospel in their first language, which is vital to reaching people in a meaningful way. Speakers this year include Joe Owen, the director of AiG-Latin America, Pastor Otto Sánchez, and me (translated from Australian into Spanish, of course).
At the Ark Encounter, guests won’t just tour the full-size Noah’s Ark (with three decks of world-class exhibits), meet animals in Ararat Ridge Zoo, and have their children play on our state-of-the-art playground—they’ll also enjoy a special worship concert featuring talented musicians from what’s called IBO. Guests can also ride our brand-new spectacular carousel or go “back in time” with our stunning virtual reality experience (additional ticket required).
On Sunday, October 16, Día Latino will be held at the Creation Museum 45 minutes away, which begins with a Spanish worship service in our newly renovated state-of-the-art Legacy Hall auditorium. Guests then tour the Creation Museum’s “walk through” biblical history, plus our fantastic Dinosaur Den, insectarium, our Fearfully and Wonderfully Made pro-life exhibit, Borderland: Israel at the Time of Jesus exhibit, high-tech 4D Special Effects Theater, our Stargazer Planetarium (additional ticket required), and more.
Outside, you can have a high-flying adventure on the Screaming Raptor Zip Lines (additional ticket purchase required), meet the animals in Eden Zoo, join the children on our playground for children of all abilities, and stroll through the gorgeous botanical gardens, featuring waterfalls, a suspension bridge, and more. Spanish translators will be available throughout the grounds to assist you all day.
The day before Día Latino begins (October 14) is our “Santidad de la Vida” preconference, from 6–8 p.m. at the Creation Museum. This conference, presented in Spanish, is free and open to everyone. It’s a sanctity of life conference that will equip guests with biblical answers to an issue sweeping through both America and Latin America right now: abortion. Don’t miss it!
