A new exhibit officially opened at the Ark Encounter with a dedication ceremony last week. Previously, this space had housed benches and a vending machine—now it features an exhibit that calls people to look back at the history of the AiG ministry and celebrates all that God has done—and to look forward to all that God is going to do in the future.
After learning about the history of the ministry, guests are drawn into the future vision for exhibits and coming expansions through video presentations on monitors.
This exhibit summarizes the history of the ministry that actually began in our home in Australia in the 70s, to the opening of the Creation Museum in 2007, and the opening of the Ark Encounter in 2016. After learning about the history of the ministry, guests are drawn into the future vision for exhibits and coming expansions through video presentations on monitors. Guests are then encouraged to get involved by praying for and donating to these coming expansions and the ministry of Answers in Genesis.
We want to add a huge “thank you” to the owners of Signarama, a local business that has produced thousands of the signs seen at our attractions. For this new exhibit, they donated the signs and materials, including the custom acrylic central to the display, the mountings, signs, braces, shop labor, installation, and all four video monitors. It was so generous and we’re so thankful.
I did a Facebook Live video with the Signarama team in the new exhibit that you can watch here:
Be sure to stop at this eye-catching exhibit during your next visit to the Ark Encounter and catch the vision for what’s coming next at both the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. Remember, kids 10 and under are free for 2020, so it’s a great time to bring the family to visit these God-honoring and gospel-proclaiming attractions. Visit ArkEncounter.com.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
