A STEM Camp Like No Other

Tomorrow is National STEM/STEAM Day, a day to raise awareness for the growing importance of STEM and STEAM education. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and STEAM is the same, with the addition of art. So, I thought I would take the opportunity to tell my supporters about Camp Infinity, a STEM camp that, as far as we know, is unique in the world.

Camp Infinity (Ci) is a unique creation apologetics STEM camp. Through hands-on STEM activities and expert teaching, they equip academically inclined young people to think biblically on the science and technology issues of our day. It’s a great camp and we’re thrilled that we can support them and allow Ci to use the facilities of the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter.

Science tells us what is possible, STEM brings it all together to solve the problems that face our world.

Now, many people think science and STEM are the same thing, but they aren’t. Dan Wooster, the director of Ci, uses a football analogy to explain the difference between the two. He says science is like learning to kick, tackle, and run in football. STEM is learning the strategy of the game, teamwork, and the rules. Science tells us what is possible, STEM brings it all together to solve the problems that face our world.

Academically inclined young people will benefit greatly from a week with Camp Infinity. They will be encouraged and grow in their passions and participate in hands-on STEM activities, all from a biblical worldview. Not only will this impact them spiritually, but it will encourage them to continue in STEM, which is important since occupations in STEM-related fields are expected to grow 70% faster than other occupations.

You can learn more about the importance of STEM, and why a day exists to celebrate it, in this blog from Camp Infinity.

I encourage you to consider Ci for your young person. They have several camps coming up this summer, including overnight camps, day camps, junior camps, and a family camp, and are already accepting applications. You’ll want to apply right away as family camp and overnight camp are quickly filling up.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
