What’s Happening with Answers in Genesis in 2018?

As we start 2018 here at AiG, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter, we are excited about what God is going to do in the coming year. Here are a few things that will be happening this year with our ministry. We ask that you please be praying for these endeavors.

  • Each year we have a new ministry theme. Our 2018 theme is “taking back the Bible’s clarity . . . from the very first verse.” This new theme addresses a disturbing trend we’ve been seeing exhibited by many Christian leaders, academics, seminaries, and so on—the idea that God’s Word isn’t clear in its basic message (particularly in the book of Genesis) and that we supposedly need the help of scholars to even begin to understand the Bible. But God’s Word is clear! Though the Bible certainly contains deep passages and though scholarship can be valuable, we must reject the idea that God’s Word isn’t clear. It was written for all people of all times, and this year we’re going to emphasize that message and reclaim the Bible’s clarity.

  • Operation Upgrade is now underway and will continue through 2018 and into 2019. This exciting project will upgrade our now 10-year-old Creation Museum by totally overhauling our Special Effects Theater into a 3D theater. We will also be installing new world-class exhibits that will highlight why Genesis is vital in our current day. These new exhibits tie in with our 2018 theme. You can learn more about “Operation Upgrade” in this article.

  • In 2018 our 2,500-seat auditorium will open at the Ark Encounter. This new facility will allow us to easily host conferences, concerts, daily speaking events, and family workshops. This will be a huge asset to our ministry at the Ark Encounter, south of Cincinnati.

  • Our Equipping Families to Stand Conference, happening July 16–20, has something for the whole family, with great apologetics and worldview teaching and a complimentary seven-day pass to both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter (a $99 value per person).

Parents will enjoy teaching from special guests Dennis and Barbara Rainey of FamilyLife along with 10 of AiG’s popular speakers, including keynotes from me. Teens will enjoy special sessions, and kids will explore Jesus from eternity past to eternity future with Time Lab, our 2018 Vacation Bible School (VBS). Teens and kids will also enjoy live animal shows, a camel ride, behind-the-scenes zoo adventures, and even a dinosaur-sculpting session. Registration is open now, and, if you register before March 31, you’ll enjoy a special early bird discount.

A Heartfelt “Thank You”

I also want to express our heartfelt thanks to those who gave last year to support our ministry (through prayer, finances, or time as volunteers). Your generosity and your prayers are greatly appreciated and vital for us to continue what we believe is a cutting-edge ministry for our time. By giving, you are storing for yourself an eternal treasure in heaven (Matthew 6:20) and are helping us reach more people than ever with the message of biblical authority and the gospel. We covet your prayers and support as we move into 2018.

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. (Hebrews 6:10)

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
