Tomorrow is Mother’s Day here in America. I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the godly legacy of Norma Ham, my mum (that’s Australian English for mom!). She, together with my dad, worked hard to instill godly character and a love for God’s Word in each of her children. And her legacy lives on in her 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
Mum is now 89 years old, and her health isn’t great. But she still loves the Lord and is so excited to see how Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and Ark Encounter are having an impact for eternity. Really, this is my parents’ legacy. In fact, my favorite exhibit here at the museum highlights their legacy.
I would also like to honor another mother—my beautiful wife, Mally. She is such a wonderful dedicated, godly mother to our 5 children and grandmother to our 16 grandchildren. I am thankful to have her by my side as we do the Lord’s work, until he comes or takes us home.
I am so thankful that I can say of both my mum and my wife,
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:28–30)
To honor mothers and their hard work in raising the next generation, we are offering all mothers half-price tickets tomorrow, on Mother’s Day, to both the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. This includes grandmothers. And of course we welcome expectant mothers. Because we know, based on God’s clear Word as well as biology, that life begins at the moment of fertilization, expectant mothers get the same discount.
We hope you can take advantage of this discount and bring your mother, wife, or grandmother to the museum or Ark here in Northern Kentucky.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
