One of Answers in Genesis’ many ministries involves working with chaplains and others involved in jail ministry to ensure that they have proper biblical authority and apologetics resources for their libraries. Many prison chaplains find our resources a helpful and effective addition to their libraries as they share the precious message of the gospel. Some of our speakers have also given talks in some prisons and have received great responses. So many who are incarcerated are hungry for the truth and certainly need to hear the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.
I recently received a letter from a chaplain who wrote to share how thankful he is for AiG resources for his ministry. He writes, “It is good to see hearts moved for the Lord, and men exposed to such substantive teaching. Many here are praying for you and your stand for what is right.” This particular chaplain says our videos are a “huge blessing” and Answers magazine issues are “highly prized.”
Scripture mentions remembering and helping those who are in prison, so we are thankful that God is using AiG resources to reach out to many different people—including those in prison—with the gospel!
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18)
To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house (Isaiah 42:7)
Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also (Hebrews 13:3)
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
