Decreasing Charitable Giving—Another Sign of the Spiritual War

by Ken Ham on June 29, 2014

I came across an interesting article (see link below) about charitable giving in the USA, with the following headline: “Charitable Giving to Religious Groups is Down as Philanthropy Improves from the Great Recession.”

To me such news is a reminder to pray for Christian organizations in this nation that stand on the authority of the Word and proclaim the gospel. We need to pray that the Lord will provide their needs and be greatly blessed as God’s people do battle for the Lord in the spiritual war raging around us:

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3–5)

And don’t forget—part of our involvement in the spiritual battle this year is to reach as many children as we can with the truth of God’s Word through the ministry of the Creation Museum. All kids 12 and under come free to the Creation Museum in 2014 (when accompanied by a paying adult).

You can read the article about charitable giving at this link.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
