No Surprise

by Ken Ham

It is no surprise to find out that last weekend comedian and social commentator Bill Maher was given the “Richard Dawkins Award” at the 2009 15th Annual Atheist Alliance International convention in Los Angeles. The RDA is “given every year to honor an outstanding atheist whose contributions raise public awareness of the nontheist life stance; who through writings, media, the arts, film, and/or the stage advocates increased scientific knowledge; who through work or by example teaches acceptance of the nontheist philosophy; and whose public posture mirrors the uncompromising nontheist life stance of Dr. Richard Dawkins.”

We have blogged about Maher before concerning how his group—with cameras and microphones—deliberately misled AiG to get Bill Maher deceptively into our building! Of course, as an atheist, he determines his own “truths,” therefore as far as he is concerned, morality is whatever one makes it. His “apology” for the media ambush amounted to his comment to us: “Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.”

Bells A-Ringing

Our staff was treated to a special musical performance on Thursday morning by Kathie Fink. She is a volunteer for AiG and the Creation Museum—in fact, the main reason she moved to Kentucky from California was to be with us here as a volunteer. Kathie gave the staff a one-person handbell concert. It featured some Christmas music that she will be performing later this year in many churches. See her schedule at kathiefink.com.

In Oklahoma

Today I am in Oklahoma in preparation for two days of speaking near Tulsa (Broken Arrow).

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying
