Your booklet saved my soul

by Ken Ham on February 21, 2006

I must admit, receiving an email like this makes all the stress of being in the ministry (the travel, busyness, spiritual battles) worthwhile.

To all of you in the AIG ministry: thank you. Your booklet saved my life and soul. I used to be a firm believer in evolution (as it was all I was taught), but God worked through you to show me the truth. Thank you all so much. I love you.

PHENOMENAL FOSSIL DELIVERED TODAY

Through a supporter, AiG was able to acquire a phenomenal fossil for our growing high-quality fossil collection. This one will be displayed in a large wall-display case in the lobby area. The fossil is of a horseshoe crab and the trail it made (including some tail drags). The fossil is actually in the shape of a horseshoe and is about six feet long and three feet across.

AiG will feature a horseshoe crab display in the Flood exhibit area—horseshoe crabs are "living fossils"---found in the fossil record supposedly millions of years ago, but still living today! The fossil we acquired also illustrates that whatever preserved this trail and horseshoe crab had to be sudden and catastrophic--just what you’d expect from the Flood of Noah’s Day.

More details of this specimen will soon be available on the Creation Museum blog.

LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN

A supporter wrote in praying "let it rain"—you will understand once you read this email:

I wanted you to know that I am praying and believing by faith that by December 31, 2006 you will be able to announce that not only have all of the moneys for all of the construction costs been received to finish the museum in STELLAR fashion, but that God has also provided the first year of operating expenses as well. Essentially, I am praying for a financial windfall for you this year that does not cause any of the other areas of your ministry to suffer, but that all of them also continue to grow and be fully funded. And with that I sing on your behalf to our Father as well, the chorus by Michael W Smith - Let it Rain Let it rain, Let it rain... Open the flood gates of heaven. Let it rain, Let it rain...

I believe with all my heart that this is going to be your best year yet, with ever more powerful years awaiting ahead as God takes back our country for Himself.

Be richly blessed and know that you all are deeply loved.

BIBLE-QUOTING SCIENCE STUDENTS ON RISE

A fascinating article entitled "Bible-quoting science students on rise" appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald, Australia. The article begins:

A GROWING number of science students on British university campuses are challenging the theory of evolution, saying that Darwin was wrong. Some are being failed in university exams because they quote sayings from the Bible or Koran as scientific fact and at one college in London, most biology students are now thought to be creationists.

Today was busy! Our unique fossil specimen was delivered. I spoke to some pastors at a special luncheon held in the museum. I met with a professor who has written an apologetics course we are going to publish. We also had a leadership team meeting. There are also various secular media interviews (TV and newspaper) lined up for the near future, including the Chicago Tribune (one of the nation's largest newspapers) and the London (UK) Daily Telegraph.

Thanks for stopping by,

Ken
