We've Arrived!

Just to let you know we've arrived safely on the Gold Coast. Everything was on time until we got to Brisbane---because of fog, we circled around for an hour in a holding pattern until we were allowed to land. We had lunch with Mally's Mum and Dad and my Mum. Mally's Dad cooked us roast lamb and vegetables and golden syrup steam pudding for dessert! My favorites! We then dropped in to see some of our other family members, then off to the Gold Coast. It is winter here—but I don't think we're as hot as we are back in Kentucky! I think we've forgotten how warm and humid the winters are here sometimes!

At the moment, I am sitting in the lounge room of our unit on the 22nd floor with the doors open---beautiful sea breeze flowing through the apartment---smells so fresh and we can hear the waves crashing on the beach (It's 6:30 pm and very dark—gets light at 6:30 am and dark at 6 pm). Next week is the shortest day of the year.
