200K Subscribers: We Doubled Our Outreach from 2024 to 2025!

Hello AiG–Canada supporters!

Unprecedented Growth

As many of you know—with your help—the AiG–CA ministry has been producing high-quality video content (initially spurred on by the Covid situation where ministry via church conferences was largely impossible) from our Answers TV studio for several years now, and the outreach the Lord has provided through it has been truly astounding!

It was May of last year that I reported our YouTube channel reached the 100K subscriber milestone, and here we are just 18 months later with the announcement that our subscriber base and view count have doubled in such a short time!

To fully understand how much the Lord has blessed our efforts, it’s estimated only .5% of all (approximately 115 million) YouTube channels out there even reach the 100K subscriber mark. Because we only began producing videos in earnest three years ago, the over 12 million views we achieved in that time was certainly something we were excited about.

However, to watch that subscriber base double in just half that time has been truly astounding, and the cumulative viewing on all the various channels the AiG–CA videos have been shown on has grown to approximately 35 million worldwide! And this means that of all nine YouTube channels the Answers in Genesis ministry oversees, we are currently the second largest channel overall and are in the range of the top .2% of all channels worldwide.

Of course, we are just the Lord’s servants, as Psalm 118:23 says, “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”

And I believe all of this demonstrates the desperate need for the truth of God’s Word and the foundational authority of the book of Genesis as the seedbed of all Christian doctrines even more in our culture than ever before. One of the video series that certainly impacted many recently was the collection of uninterrupted conversations with two of the most well-known AIs out there currently, Grok and ChatGPT. The use of AI technology and how it will affect our future is obviously one of the most relevant topics of our day.

I was initially inspired to record them when forwarded an email from a student by my fellow Canadian colleague Patricia Engler (who is doing marvelous work for the AiG–US ministry by the way). In the email, the student shared how she had been recommended a Christian apologetics resource and decided to ask ChatGPT for an analysis of it (which she included).

Of course, it was a hit-piece on the resource, criticizing the arguments within it (quite poorly I might add). So the student asked why she should trust any of the resources’ content if it was so easily debunked by the AI? That simple interaction confirmed to me how these new AI programs (programmed by fallible and sinful humans with preconceived biases) were simply a continuation of what the state-run media and education systems have been doing for years now—authoritatively regurgitating the party line of humanism via the story of evolution and atheistic philosophy.

It was so obvious that this student has done what so many others have done—abdicated the authority of God’s Word and replaced it with man’s word. This authority is an AI, and more people will continue to appeal to AI as an authority over God’s Word as AI’s popularity grows. So I began experimenting with them to see for myself.

My candid conversations with these AIs demonstrate that by asking the right questions and using parameters involving logic, mathematics, and what we can observe, science does not conclude naturalism. However, near the end of each interaction, I reveal their programming bias by asking it how it would answer a user in its regular mode. And their admission to default to the story of evolution in contradiction to its former conclusions was eye-opening for many to say the least.

These videos were seen by hundreds of thousands of people, which led to me being invited on several popular Christian podcasts (such as Living Waters and Worldview Matters) and being contacted by many ministry leaders I had never interacted with before, all of which only help to spread the message of biblical authority even further.

Conference Outreach

Of course, in-person outreach is more important than ever, and we are pleased to see that as the AiG–CA ministry becomes better known because of the impact our media is having, conference invitations are also becoming more attractive to many churches.

We have been invited to speak at several large venues next year, enabling us to reach thousands at Canadian conferences where our resources and video content will be introduced to those who are currently unfamiliar with us. As attendees promote their experience to their friends and family, this will continue the impact of our ministry in even more households here in Canada in exponential fashion.

So the simple tactic of producing high-quality videos leads to supporting the strategy of impacting believers through speaking events and our resources, which furthers the overarching vision of the AiG ministry—upholding the authority of the Word of God from the very first verse!

We understand that times are tough for many and that giving can only be done sparingly in some situations. However, if you are looking to support a ministry that is truly impacting many in their walk and witness for Jesus Christ and challenging unbelievers with the truth of the Bible regularly, I believe the AiG–CA ministry certainly qualifies as one that is faithfully doing so. And perhaps a recent conversation I had with one of our generous supporters can help demonstrate that.

As an illustration, I asked him if he’d ever been to the Rogers Centre in Toronto for a concert or sports event and he said yes. It holds about 50,000 people for a concert and about 40,000 for a baseball game. I then asked him to imagine showing one of our faith-affirming videos on the screen to everyone in the center and how much it would cost to do so per person.

Now, in today’s world, even a dollar per person ($50K total) would be considered highly effective. But what if we could do it for two events on the same budget? What if we could do five, seven, or ten events? What would the cost per person be then? Well, our very first video on AI alone has done over 700,000 views at my time of writing, so (in my analogy) that would be like filling the Rogers Centre 14+ times over, and the cost would be just seven cents per person!
