Together, We’ve Done it: 20,000,000 Meals Provided

Together, we’ve raised enough money to purchase 20,000,000 meals for hungry children through our ministry partner, Children’s Hunger Fund! Yes, you read that right: twenty million meals!

Our program includes a Mission Moment to encourage children to turn their love for Jesus into action by serving others.

As you know, if you’re a veteran Answers VBS user, our program includes a Mission Moment to encourage children to turn their love for Jesus into action by serving others.

We partner with the wonderful mercy ministry, Children’s Hunger Fund, for this part of the curriculum. The ministry provides for the physical needs of children around the world through their Food Paks, and they do so through the local church. As pastors and other Christian volunteers distribute Food Paks to needy children and their families, each child has the opportunity to hear the gospel and become connected with a local church. It’s a great example of being the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.

So how does the Mission Moment work? We provide the materials and special videos, churches use them as part of their program, and then children bring spare change with them to subsequent VBS nights, knowing that just 25¢ can provide one meal. And those quarters add up—all the way up to 20,000,000 meals!
