What is a Food Pak? (And What’s the Connection with Answers VBS?)

What’s a “Food Pak”? Well, we could tell you what a Food Pak from the Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) is, but it’s better if we show you! Our friends at CHF sent us a video showing the incredible impact Food Paks are having around the world:

These Food Paks provide hope in the form of delicious, healthy, desperately needed food. But, more than that, they’re delivered by local pastors and Christians who develop local relationships, opening up opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with individuals and families.

So what’s the connection with Answers VBS?

We’ve been thrilled to see the generosity that has bubbled up in children across the nation as they’ve rushed to give towards helping others.

We partner with CHF for the Mission Moment portion of the Answers VBS curriculum. During this time, kids learn about the needs of other children around the world and are encouraged to put their faith into action by bringing in change that will go towards Food Paks. Each meal only costs $0.25, so the number of meals adds up quickly, and kids love that. We’ve been thrilled to see the generosity that has bubbled up in children across the nation as they’ve rushed to give towards helping others.

We hope you take advantage of the Mystery Island Mission Moment content in your VBS this summer to help encourage generosity in kids, as well as providing practical help and eternal hope to kids and families around the world. The Assembly Guide provides a short mission moment to use during the opening assembly time (when everyone is altogether).
