I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. (Psalm 119:11)

All throughout Scripture, we’re commanded to memorize God’s Word, to remember it so we can live righteous lives and pass it along to our children, among other things. God’s Word is described as living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). We’re told that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). There’s no underestimating the importance and power of the Word of God.

Verses learned at a young age often sink deep into your heart, staying with you for the rest of your life.

That’s why it’s so vital that we memorize Scripture! And, of course, we want our children to memorize Scripture. Verses learned at a young age often sink deep into your heart, staying with you for the rest of your life. That’s powerful! And that’s why we emphasize Scripture memory throughout Answers VBS.

Throughout history, songs and hymns have been used to teach Scripture or theological truths to others, including children. Songs stick in your head, making the concepts easier to remember. That’s why we include memory verse music, as well as songs featuring the key VBS themes, with each Answers VBS. If you order a contemporary kit, you’ll enjoy catchy memory verse music from Seeds Family Worship. If you have a traditional kit, sing along with memory verse music from Patch the Pirate.
