Definition of Man and Woman

Read our full Statement of Faith.

Naturally born man is defined as existing from the moment of fertilization (i.e., traditionally conception) as a classically understood anatomical male as attested in Scripture and confirmed by modern genetics as XY for development of masculine parts such as testes, penis, scrotum, and prostate. There are rare chromosome variations since sin in Genesis 3 that have resulted in mutations such as sex chromosome trisomy (SCT), where a male can be XXY or XYY or longer disorder variations in males such as XXXY, XXXXY, XXYY, but all are still anatomical males with a Y chromosome. There are also mutations that cause hormone problems during stages of development. Eunuch is defined as a castrated naturally born man. Further mutation detriments can be read about in “The Biology of Gender.”

Naturally born woman is defined as existing from the moment of fertilization (i.e., traditionally conception) as a classically understood anatomical female as attested in Scripture and confirmed by modern genetics as XX for development of feminine parts such as ovaries, eggs, and uterus. There are rare chromosome variations since sin in Genesis 3 that have resulted in mutations such as Sex Chromosome Trisomy (SCT) also called Trisomy X where a female can be XXX or Tetrasomy X with XXXX. There is also an affected female condition where a second X is missing or partially absent denoted as XO or Monosomy X (Turner’s Syndrome). There are some situations in broken and sinful world where there are mutations that cause hormone problems during stages of development. Further mutation detriments can be read about in “The Biology of Gender.”
