Project Lydia Handmade Recycled Paper Beads. These unique, colorful beads are made of recycled paper by widows and abandoned wives in remote villages of Uganda. Long triangular strips of paper are cut and hand-rolled around a needle to form the bead. They are then dipped four times in a sealant, which makes them water resistant and gives the beads their shiny finish. The monies earned by the women provides education for their children. Made in Uganda.
