IRA Charitable Rollover Now Authorized for 2014!

On December 16, Congress reauthorized the IRA (Individual Retirement Account) charitable rollover provisions for 2014. These provisions allow eligible persons to make a gift to Answers in Genesis (including the Ark Encounter matching gift program) with an IRA charitable rollover.

Donors age 70 1/2 and older may transfer up to $100,000 directly from their IRA to Answers in Genesis or other qualified public charities. The transfer will be made free of federal income tax and also qualifies for the donor's 2014 required minimum distribution (RMD).

You only have until the end of December of this year to take advantage of this opportunity.
