God’s Word—the Authority in Our Homes

Yesterday we looked at igniting a new Reformation by encouraging the church to stand on the authority of God’s Word. But how do we do that at home?

1. When you discipline your children, give biblical reasons why their actions are wrong. Point to God’s Word as the standard for our behavior, not human opinions.
2. Read God’s Word as a family and encourage your children to do so on their own so they know what’s in the Bible.
3. Discuss science and history from a biblical perspective. Show how God’s Word is the history book of the universe.

We need a generation who’ll start their thinking with God’s Word in all areas.
