The Reformation over 500 years ago was a response to many unbiblical doctrines and practices that had crept into the church. The reformers urged Christians to return to “Scripture alone.” In other words, return to the authority of God’s Word instead of man’s ideas.

You see, human tradition and ideas aren’t a reliable source of truth. We’re sinful, fallible, and have limited knowledge.

But the Bible is the authoritative Word from our all-knowing, perfect Creator. It’s God-breathed, living and active truth that will never pass away. When we rely on God’s Word we have a firm foundation for our thinking.
