Scientists can now use special tools to edit out sections of our DNA and insert new ones. This gene editing has potential to help cure genetic diseases.
But it has a dangerous side. Scientists are already trying to improve mankind with genetic enhancements. And then there’s the issue of “designer babies.”
In an evolutionary worldview, we’re just animals and this could be the next step in our evolution. But in a biblical view we’re made in the image of God and knit together in the womb. We’re not animals to be experimented on and humans don’t have the authority to mess with God’s design to create what we think is better.
