God’s Word—Our Authority

Many Christians don’t think the age of the earth matters. They wonder why we should care if God created in six days or millions of years? After all, he’s God—he can do anything!
Well, God can do anything. But what matters isn’t what he could’ve done but what he did. And the Bible clearly tells us God created everything in six, literal 24-hour days. And Exodus confirms that, saying, “for in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.”
How and when God created matters because it’s an authority issue. We need to trust God’s Word.
