When you think of marvels of design, earthworms probably don’t come to mind! But these worms in their millions help make plant life possible. They swallow huge amounts of soil and digest nutrients from it. This process helps to aerate, fertilize, and loosen up the soil for plants.

And earthworms help to decompose litter from trees in the fall. They drag around ninety percent of these fallen leaves into the soil so the nutrients can be reused to grow new leaves in the spring.

In the earthworm, God has provided Earth with an efficient system of enriching the soil. Even the lowly worm proclaims the Creator’s glory!
