The Bible—Is it a Science Textbook?

This week we’ve seen that, whenever the Bible touches on science, it gets it right! But I’ve had Christians tell me, “The Bible’s not a science textbook!” And I agree, I’m glad! You see, textbooks are constantly being updated as we learn new things, correct false ideas from the past.

No, the Bible’s not like that at all. It’s unchanging, eternal!

But, yes, the Bible is primarily concerned with God’s plan of redemption, showing us our sin nature and pointing to the Savior. But it’s filled with history, the truth about our origins, and, yes, some science.

Since the Bible’s God’s Word, no matter what it speaks on, we know it’s the truth.
