Seventy percent of Americans claim to be Christians and yet only six in one hundred have a biblical worldview!
This means that many Americans grew up going to church or in families that identified as Christian, but an actual biblical worldview was never passed along to them.
Based on my experience in Christian ministry for over forty years, I’m not surprised. Many families and churches teach children a few Bible “stories,” with a focus on a moral lesson, rather than helping them understand God’s Word as the authority and foundation for our thinking in every area.
And this “story” approach to the Bible has been disastrous—as we’ll see all this week.
